These original hand painted movie posters from Ghana are painted in oil on flour sacks, the paintings feature fantastic renderings of popular films which were shown in public screenings in homes, schools, social clubs and outdoors. Over the time and after repeat showings of the films, the originals take on even more of a distinct character from hanging in the sun, being nailed at odd angles and hung on precarious frames.

The condition of the poster is used, some of them have holes from the nails, sun bleached, bird droppings and wearing marks – please see the picture/details on each item. The sizes are approximately 90 – 110 cm large and 110 – 140 cm high.
